We will choose two lucky Makers to join us at Creative Trends!

It's easy peasy lemon squeezy to enter!

We want all applicants to have fun with the process and be excited to enter, without a ton of rules (just the basics)!

 

Here are the entry requirements:

​

• You are between the ages of 10-16 years old

• Your parent/guardian consents and signs the declaration and will be present with you for the duration of the event

• You must make the product you showcase (supervision ok, but minimal help from adult - product dependent)

• You are a resident of British Columbia  (one winner will be selected from the City of Kamloops & one winner selected from outside the City of Kamloops)

• You submit a short essay about why you want to win the Youth Makerpreneur Search (in your own words)

• Submit images of the product you make

• Be available to set up and be present for the duration of the event - October 15 & 16, 2022 at Sandman Centre, Kamloops BC

       (Set-up is on Friday October 14 between 1pm-8pm)

• We will be looking for personal style, uniqueness and design elements

What you will receive as the winner:

A standard 10'x6' booth which is draped in our show colors (green and blue). Your booth will be provided with 2 flood lights and minimal electrical power (350-400 watts). S-hooks will be provided for hanging light-weight signs on the draped back wall of your booth

Chairs and a 6' draped table provided within your booth to use for the duration of the event (choose green or blue)

Complimentary Makerpreneur badge will be provided for you to wear

Promoted as the winner on our website, social media platforms and within the Facebook Event Page

What are the types of categories we are looking for?

There are many categories which may include pottery, metal, woodwork, jewelry/accessories, crochet/knitting, painting, bath/body etc. 

A list of artisan categories is provided on the declaration of authenticity page

What is the expected attendance?

Anticipated attendance 5000+ for the 2-day event in Kamloops, BC.
